SPOILER ALERTThe full story below, including the ending.

Neither of them is right or wrong. Come wise, you must ask the question. His journeys never start at the mall. During the final exams at a school for young witches and warlocks, a teacher named Miss Tula calls up a student named Beatatrix for her assessment. Beatatrix then goes to the front of the class and casts a spell to revive a dead flower.

As everyone applauds Beatatrix, Tula praises and congratulates her for completing her final exam. She adds that Beatatrix will be celebrated as a full witch at the upcoming witches ball this weekend. Beatatrix looks happy about this and as she returns to her seat, a class bully named Jasmine sarcastically mentions that she's happy for Beatatrix. I don't like math.

Tula realizes that Jasmine is trying to annoy Beatatrix and she quickly tells the bully to stop. After this, Tula calls up a boy named Grayson for his assessment. When Grayson gets to the front of the class, he says he'll be creating a plant called chatroot, which gives animals the ability to speak. Almost immediately, Jasmine interrupts him and tells Tula that she didn't know they could just buy their final exams from a potion store, as she also implies that Grayson is bragging about creating something that already exists.

Of course, the journey is yours. Tula just tells her to stop disrupting the class. Grayson then mentions that even though chatroot is typically used as a phone-like tool between witches and warlocks, he has created his own strand which will make the animal capable of speaking for itself. Following this, he gives his lemur a chatroot and casts a spell.

As Tula then asks if the lemur has anything to say, it suddenly says hello to everyone. Tula and the students look impressed. How do you feel about the uh you know those fireflies? and the lemur asks if there's someone named Sarah in the class. Almost immediately, Sarah raises her hand to confirm that she's there.

And the lemur talks about how Grayson likes her. Grayson looks embarrassed by this and as he tries to get the lemur to stop talking, his classmates laugh at him. Shortly after, the school bell rings and the students leave the classroom. Before Beatatrix can leave the school, Tula tells her to wait.

Beatatrix then asks if she's in trouble, but Tula says she's not. She adds that she wants to take a moment to tell Beatatrix that she's proud of her efforts. Whatever choice you made was always going to be the right one because she knows how hard things can be for someone who wasn't born a full witch. Beatatrix thanks Tula for the compliment and mentions that she did well because she had a great teacher.

This makes Tula happy and she gives Beatatrix a crystal ball. Beatatrix says she thought it was tradition not to get the ball until the ceremony and Tula confirms this. However, she mentions that it's also tradition for the validictorian to get the ball before the ceremony so it can be used as a source of inspiration for writing their speech. Beatatrix looks shocked and asks if she's validictorian.

Excuse me, do you know where the toilet is? And Tula says she has earned it. She then mentions that Beatatrix can only use the crystal ball for inspiration and nothing else. She adds that the validictorian ball is sacred and it must be treated as such. Beatatrix says she understands this and she promises not to let anything happen to it.

Interestingly, Jasmine and her friend Yazzy hear what they're talking about and they quickly run toward Tula. Jasmine then says she believes it's customary for the validictorian to be a royal. Tula says it's just a myth spread by pure families. Fill in my PJs and that the witch with the highest grade has always been chosen to be validictorian regardless of bloodline.

Jasmine looks disappointed by this and as Tula walks away, she tells Beatatrix that her mom already told her that the school was planning to give the validictorian ball to a charity case. She also talks about how Beatatrix's mom isn't a real witch, even though she has been doing everything just to be one. Beatatrix then mentions that for the last 8 years, she has had to listen to Jasmine insult her and call her names. She says she has decided not to fight Jasmine anymore.

I don't think anyone's that good because she knows that the validictorian ball now makes her more special. Jasmine seems pissed by this and she casts a spell to make Beatatrix drop the ball. Unfortunately, the ball breaks into several pieces and Beatatrix looks disappointed. Jasmine then blames Beatatrix for what happened to the ball and she mentions that people like Beatatrix shouldn't be allowed to have nice things even though Yazzy tries to help Beatatrix.

Jasmine tells her not to do it. After Jasmine and Yazzy leave the school, Beatatrix quickly puts the broken pieces into her bag before walking away. Sucks to be you today, huh? Elsewhere, Beatatrix's mom, Brooke, appears on a TV show where a reporter introduces her as the person organizing this year's witches ball.

Brooke looks excited about this, but as the reporter asks if she knows that the last four people to organize the ball had nervous breakdowns, she looks confused. Much later, Brooke arrives home and sees her warlock husband, Trigg playing a virtual reality game. She then asks him about something she told him to do earlier, and he says he'll get it done after he finishes up with his game. Fallen into a bit of a sticky wicket.

After this, Brooke gives her dog a chat room so she can call someone named Orin. As Orin then speaks through the dog, Brooke asks if she can send him a new flying broom so he can get to her house before the ball. Orin says he can't use another broom. And Brooke suggests trying trunk traveling.

Orin likes this idea and says that he likes trunks. And Brooke tells him to arrive early at the terminal. Orin says he'll do that and he also tells Brooke to greet his godaughter Beatatrix and inform her that he can't wait to be there for her big day as well as Brooks. After the call ends, Brooke tells Trigg that she has already booked a trunk for Orin so he can arrive early enough.

Do you have someone from the wand to pull some strings? Trigg then tells her to stop worrying so much about the ball because it's not close yet. As Brooke says it's in 3 days, Beatatrix arrives home and bumps into her uncle, Yuri, who says he just put his hand in the toilet. Beatatrix looks confused and asks who he is, and Trigg mentions that Yuri is his cousin.

He adds that Yuri has come to stay with them until the ball. As Yuri repeats that he put his hand in the toilet, Beatatrix looks confused, but Brooke says it's the only English he knows. Beatatrix eventually decides to head to her room. Did you tell them that you could fix it? But Brooke stops her to ask if they can work on the song they'll be performing at the ball.

Beatatrix says they've rehearsed it several times already and that there's no need to do it again. As Beatatrix tries to leave again, Brook stops her and asks if she thought they wouldn't know. Beatatrix looks scared and asks what she means. And Brooke says she was talking about Beatatrix's exam.

Beatatrix says she passed and Trigg mentions that he's proud of her. Brooke also says she can't believe that her daughter is now all grown up and that they're even going to become full witches on the same day. I have mucked things up a bit, haven't I? Brooke gets emotional as she says this, and Trigg consoles her while Beatatrix heads to her room.

When Beatatrix gets there, she tells her talking mouse, Mugs, that they've got a big problem. Mugs asks if it has anything to do with cheese, but Beatatrix just shows him the broken pieces of the validictorian ball. Mugs doesn't know what it is, and Beatatrix explains that Tula gave it to her after making her validictorian. Mugs looks happy to hear that she's validictorian, but Beatatrix says she really needs to find a way to fix the ball.

I'm just saying, how much better would it be? Mugs suggests looking for a spell in her spell book, but Beatatrix says it can't be that easy because the ball is enchanted. Almost immediately, Trigg calls Beatatrix down for lunch, and she tells Mugs to think of something before she's back. Following this, Beatatrix heads down to have lunch with her family.

Brooke then mentions that Beatatrix's grandmother and cousins will soon arrive for the ball. Beatatrix doesn't look happy about this because she knows that her grandmother will take her shopping for a dress. Brooke says it's actually tradition. Hey sweetie, is that my baby Beatatrix?

And that all witches are supposed to wear gowns that reflect their inner selves. After this, Beatatrix tells her parents that she doesn't want them to freak out when she tells them something that happened earlier at school. Beatatrix's parents look confused, but as she mentions that she has been chosen to be validictorian, they get excited and run to hug her. Brooke says it's an incredible feat and that she should be proud.

Trigg also asks about her validictorian ball, but Beatatrix looks shocked and says that she hasn't gotten it yet. She adds that the school has stopped giving the validictorian the ball before the ceremony. No idea. I was hoping that'd be enough. Trigg says it makes sense to do that after someone destroyed it a while ago.

Beatatrix looks shocked and asks what he means. And Trigg talks about a boy who once broke the ball before the ceremony even started. As he says that they had to cancel the entire ceremony, Brooke mentions that she doesn't know what she would do if something like that happened after everything she has done to plan the ball. Beatric looks worried about this and asks if the validictorian ball eventually got fixed.

Trigg says he doesn't know because it happened after his time, but he thinks Beatatrix's aunt Oilia would know about it. kind of look like someone who uh falls on their head. Beatatrix seems interested in asking Oilia about this and she tells her parents that she has to go out with mugs. Elsewhere, Orin arrives at the trunk terminal and requests safe transport to the ball. Interestingly, Orin likes telling stories about his many experiences when he meets new people.

But the terminal attendant doesn't appreciate this. After Orin gets a ticket, he starts telling another story, and the attendant looks disgusted. Meanwhile, Beatatrix gets to Oilia's store with mugs, and Oilia greets her and says it's nice to see the validictorian. It's for your validictorian ball.

Beatatrix jokes that she hates how her aunt knows everything. And it turns out that Oilia can actually read minds. Beatatrix then shows Oilia the broken pieces of the ball and asks if she knows how the boy who broke it during her graduation year fixed it. Oilia looks shocked to see the broken ball and she tells Beatatrix that the boy didn't fix it.

Beatatrix looks disappointed by this, but Oilia suggests asking her pumpkin Jax. Hey Jax, wake up for any ideas on what to do. As she wakes Jax up, he sounds pissed and complains that she shouldn't have disturbed his sleep. Oilia still tells him to give Beatatrix some advice on what to do.

And he mentions that she'll have to find three witches who will fix each of the three broken parts. He says that the first one must be old and wise and the next one has to be kind as he mentions that the last witch is someone who is pure of love. Beatatrix asks how she's supposed to find them. He then gives her a map and tells her that when she solves a riddle on it, the location of the witches will appear on it.

Mugs asks if he can't just tell them where to find the witches instead of using the map, but Jax says he can't. He then repeats the instructions and tells them not to disturb his sleep again. After this, Oilia mentions that the mission sounds dangerous, but Beatatrix says she doesn't care because she wants to do everything she can to fix the ball before the ceremony. She also begs Oilia not to say anything to her parents, but her aunt asks why she can't just tell them.

Beatatrix says she can't because it will break her mom's heart if she hears that the ceremony could be cancelled. Oilia then agrees to keep it a secret, and she also gives Beatatrix some supplies, including a jar of fireflies. It's cheese for the little furball. After this, Beatatrix begins her quest and releases the fireflies to show her the way to find the first witch.

Mugs doesn't seem to like fireflies, but Beatatrix still insists on following them. On the way, Mugs looks scared because he thinks the Fireflies might be leading them into an ambush. Beatatrix doesn't believe this and Mugs asks if she even thinks going through the woods to find the witches will help her fix the ball. Beatric says it has to work because she can't let her mom or Miss Tula down as she also says she won't let Jasmine win.

Mugs asks why she can't just report the bully to Tula because she was the one who knocked the ball to the ground. Beatatrix says that no one ever got remembered for blaming others and Mugs looks confused by this as he asks if she's really concerned about how people remember her. Beatatrix says she has accepted a lot of insults from her peers for being a half witch and that she just wants to show people that there's nothing she can't do regardless of her background. She adds that it could also serve as an inspiration for other half-born witches.

Mug says it's a pretty cool idea and he reminds her that he'll always have her back. Almost immediately, they see the fireflies going up into the sky. And Beatatrix looks confused by this. Yes, that's exactly it. Can you? As she says that they've not found the witch, Mugs asks what the map says.

Beatatrix then checks it and sees a riddle that can summon the wisdom witch. After a while, Beatatrix figures it out and the wisdom witch appears in the woods. He immediately realizes why she came to see him and he puts together two of the broken pieces. After this, Beatatrix thanks the wisdom witch and heads home.

The next day, Beatatrix's grandmother, Gabby, arrives at the house and wakes her up so they can go to a fashion store to get clothes for the ball. Beatatrix looks disappointed by this, but Gabby and Brooke encourage her to come with them. Following this, Gabby uses her wand to teleport them to the store. And almost immediately, she helps Brooke pick out a nice dress.

Brooke looks happy about this, and Beatatrix is told to try on different dresses. Unfortunately, Gabby and Brooke are unable to agree with Beatatrix on the best dress to choose for her. As Beatatrix gets tired and says that she's not wearing any other dresses, Gabby suggests taking a break. After she and Brooke leave the room, Beatatrix tells Mugs that they also have to head out.

Mugs, let's get out of here. On the way, Beatatrix sees Jasmine and Yazzy at the same store. Jasmine looks shocked to see her, and she asks why Beatatrix is still trying to buy a dress for the ball, even though she already broke the validictorian ball. Beatatrix says the ball is still intact, but Jasmine refuses to believe this because she saw the broken pieces on the floor.

Almost immediately, Gabby and Brooke show up behind Beatatrix, and Jasmine tries to make fun of them. She also pretends to be nice by calling Brooke an inspiration to many students because it's not easy for a human to convert to a witch. Brooke seems impressed by this, and Jasmine says she would like to formally welcome Beatatrix's mom to the witch's family. She adds that her mom is the head of a special club for witches, and that she would love to meet Brooke.

Beatatrix realizes that Jasmine is only pretending to be nice and she tells her mom and grandmother that they need to leave because they still have a lot to do. However, Brooke seems amazed to hear who Jasmine's mom is and she doesn't seem ready to leave. Beatatrix doesn't look happy about this. How many people make that same mistake?

And Brooke eventually decides to listen to her. She then mentions that they really have to leave because they still have to work on their song. Jasmine asks what they'll be singing, but Beatatrix says they're not telling anyone. Brooke doesn't think it's a problem, and she tells Jasmine the name of the song.

Jasmine says she loves it, but Beatatrix looks disappointed. Jasmine then mentions that she only came to pick up some clothes to deliver to the less fortunate witches who can't afford them. Brooke looks impressed by this, and Jasmine uses her wand to make all the dresses in the store disappear, except one. Brooke and Gabby look shocked by this and Jasmine pretends to care about whether Beatatrix has picked a dress.

Beatatrix doesn't seem moved by this and she picks the last dress in the store even though she doesn't like it. When she gets home, she complains to Mugs about the dress and how her mom seemed to like Jasmine. After a while, she heads to the woods to continue her quest. She then finds an instruction on the map to eat a cicada and use its magical powers to find the kindness witch.

However, instead of eating the cicada in the old days to keep us hidden, Beatatrix decides to use her wand to create a leash so that the insect can just lead her to the kindness witch. Elsewhere, Orin returns to the terminal and tries to use his wand to help the attendant arrange the trunks. However, he messes up with them and gets his departure time delayed. Meanwhile, the cicada takes Beatatrix close to a lake where she sees the kindness witch who happens to be a mermaid.

Beatatrix then tells her about the broken ball and how she wants it fixed. Unfortunately, the mermaid doesn't understand English, and this leaves Beatatrix disappointed as she tells Mugs that they'll probably have to find another way to fix the ball. The Cicada shows up and speaks to the kindness witch. With this, the mermaid fixes another broken part of the ball, and Beatatrix realizes that the kindness witch only helped because she was kind to the cicada earlier by choosing not to eat it.

Beatatrix looks happy about this and as Mugs asks where they'll find a witch of pure love, she says Orin is one. She adds that when Orin arrives, he'll be able to help her fix the last parts of the ball. Elsewhere, Orin is locked inside a room so that he won't try to disturb the attendant while he's fixing the trunks. He's also given a chat route which he can use to contact his family.

I want to be home before he gets there. Almost immediately, Orin gives the chat route to his guinea pig, and this helps him send a message to inform Gabby and the others that he'll be late. Shortly after, Trigg leaves the house to try to figure out a way to help Orin. Almost immediately, Beatatrix arrives home and learns that Orin is stuck at the trunk terminal.

She looks shocked by this and asks if he'll still be around for the ball, and Brook says they're trying their best to bring him home as soon as possible. Beatatrix looks disappointed by this, but she still doesn't tell her mom about the broken ball. After a while, Beatatrix offers to help Brooke get the cake for the ball from Oilia's store. Brooke then thanks her for this and Beatatrix leaves immediately.

When Beatatrix gets there, she tells Oilia that she's worried about what would happen if Orin doesn't make it to the ball. However, Oilia tells her to be patient because she's sure Orin will show up as she then heads to the kitchen to bring the cake. Jax secretly tells Beatatrix that there's another way to fix the ball. Beatatrix makes a mean pumpkin pie.

Beatatrix asks what it is, and Jax says it requires the use of dark magic. Beatatrix looks scared of this, but Jax still tells her that she only needs the tears spilled from the person responsible for breaking the ball. Mugs thinks it shouldn't be a problem to get Jasmine's tears, but Beatatrix says she doesn't think she can do it. Jax says she'll disappoint a lot of people if she shows up at the ceremony with a broken ball, and Beatatrix starts thinking about his idea.

Almost immediately, she uses her wand to cast a spell to prevent Oilia from being able to read her mind. When Oilia returns from the kitchen, she realizes that Beatatrix's mind is hard to read, and she wonders what's wrong. However, Beatatrix brushes off the subject and takes the cake home. Later that night, all the guests start arriving for the ball, and Gabby looks pleased when she meets Brook's parents for the first time.

Shortly after, Oilia arrives, and Brook says she wants the ceremony to be perfect for Beatatrix. Simply love that gown. Almost immediately, Jasmine arrives with her mom, who seems just as arrogant as her daughter. Jasmine then asks about Beatatri, and Brooke says she hasn't arrived at the ceremony.

Jasmine's mom also says she wants to meet the girl who beat her daughter to become validictorian. And Brooke finds this strange. Meanwhile, it turns out that Beatatrix is still at home and she's having doubts about going to the ceremony because she doesn't like her dress and Orin isn't around yet. Mugs suggests trying Jax's idea, but Beatatrix says she can't do it because her dad has always warned her about how dangerous dark magic is.

Almost immediately, she hears Orin's voice in the house, but as she heads down, she realizes that he's only speaking through a chat route. Beatatrix looks disappointed and thinks about skipping the ball, but Trigg encourages her and says that she looks beautiful. This makes Beatatrix happy, and she leaves the house with Trigg. Back at the party, Brooke welcomes all the guests.

It looks like most of us are here now. And calls on Yuri to sing a song while they wait for Beatatrix to arrive. Yuri then goes on stage and sings about putting his hand in a toilet. Everyone seems to enjoy this and they all dance to his song. Shortly after, Jasmine goes to ask Tula what would happen if the validictorian didn't show up.

Tula says she'll have to give it to the next person in line. Jasmine looks happy because she'll be the next person and she says it's good that she already prepared a speech. Suddenly, Brooke says it won't be necessary, but Jasmine doesn't get this. Brooke then points at Beatatrix and tells Jasmine that the validictorian has just arrived.

Jasmine looks disappointed by this and it turns out that Beatatrix has just arrived with her dad. Brooke looks happy to see them and after she walks away with Trigg, Oilia asks Beatatrix if she has figured out what to do about the crystal ball. Beatatrix then sees Jasmine laughing at her dress and she tells Oilia that she's currently weighing her options. I think they just needed an excuse to let go.

Almost immediately, Jasmine goes on stage to announce that it's time for Beatatrix to give her speech. However, Brooke tells everyone that Yuri will perform his song again while they wait for Beatatrix to get ready. After Yuri's performance, Brooke calls on Jasmine and her mom to recite a poem to the guests as part of the ceremony. As Jasmine gets on stage, she says that they're actually going to sing a song.

Almost immediately, they start singing the song Brooke and Beatatrix plan to sing. and Trigg looks confused. Brooke also seems disappointed by this. And as she leaves the hall, Beatatrix runs after her. When they get outside, Brooke starts crying because she feels disappointed that she won't be able to perform the same song with her daughter.

She says she really worked hard because she wanted to show everyone what she and Beatatrix could do together. Beatatrix says they can still do it and that she has a plan. Following this, they return to the hall and go on to perform a better version of the song. They lift me up even if I fall down.

Which leaves Jasmine and her mom looking embarrassed. Everyone enjoys Brooke and Beatatrix's performance and they get applauded for doing well. Shortly after, Beatatrix sees Jasmine's mom scolding her daughter for what happened. She also insults Jasmine for not being the validictorian.

Jasmine looks sad to hear this and after her mom walks away, she starts crying. Even though Jasmine has never been kind to her, Beatatrix heads over to hug her. Jasmine looks shocked and asks what she's doing and Beatatrix says she needs the hug. This makes Jasmine feel better and she apologizes for breaking the ball.

Beatatrix says it's okay and Jasmine mentions she would like them to be friends. Beatatrix doesn't have a problem with this, but Mug suddenly asks if they're still going to get Jasmine's tears. Jasmine doesn't understand this, but Beatatrix explains that her tears might fix the validictorian ball, and that's all that's ever going to matter. She says she doesn't want to try it because it's dangerous, but Jasmine mentions that she's willing to do anything to make amends.

Beatatrix then agrees to let her try, and Jasmine uses her wand to draw out her tears. Unfortunately, this doesn't work. And Beatatrix realizes that she's the one responsible for what happened because after she got the ball, she used it to gloat and make fun of Jasmine. Mugs then asks what she'll do next, and Beatatrix says it's time to fix things without using magic.

After this, she returns to the hall and sees her mom get formally inducted as a full witch. Brooke looks happy about this and as she talks about her daughter being the validictorian, she calls Beatatrix out for her speech. Beatatrix then heads up to the stage and talks about how she never thought she would become a full witch because things were hard for her at first. She also mentions that she was able to eventually achieve her goal because she had a lot of people supporting her.

After this, she shows everyone the broken ball and talks about how she did different things to try to get it fixed. As she says that she couldn't find the pure love witch on the map, Brooke tells her to check again. Where do you think you're going? Beatatrix does just this and realizes that her mom is a pure love witch.

She looks surprised by this, but Brooke helps her fix the ball before hugging her. Jasmine also stands up and prepares to leave the table so she can hug her new friend, but her mom stops her. Yazy then tells Jasmine's mom that she has to start being nicer to her daughter. Jasmine looks happy about this and the two friends head up to hug Beatatrix.

After the ceremony ends, Beatatrix and Brooke talk about how things went well. Brooke then says she's really proud of her daughter and that she was happy to see that Beatatrix was brave enough to stand in front of everyone to admit that she made a mistake. Beatatrix looks happy when she hears this and Brooke eventually walks away to meet Gabby and her parents. Beatatrix then brings Mugs out of her bag and tells him that she wouldn't have achieved her goal without him.

Mugs seems pleased to hear this and Beatatrix gives him some cheese before they leave the hall together. I was going to give it to you tomorrow. After Beatatrix gets selected as the class validictorian, Jasmine gets jealous and breaks Beatatrix's special crystal ball. Instead of reporting what happened to her teacher or her parents, Beatatrix decides to find a way to fix it so she can show everyone that there's nothing she can't do, even though she's only a half-born witch.

Unfortunately, things get complicated along the way, and she's forced to show everyone the broken ball at the graduation ceremony. Despite this, Beatatrix gets praised for admitting her mistake, and the ball also gets fixed. Sometimes being honest is the bravest thing you can do to prove yourself and earn the respect of others.
