Curious Girl Finds a Monster That Brings Dead People Back
A curious girl finds a strange monster hidden beneath an old pub. Believing it could change her life forever, she soon realizes some secrets are better left alone.
But don't bring me back. I was passed around from relatives to boarding schools. I need to speak with her. In Berlin, a man named Owen hears someone banging on the door of his pub. He immediately heads down and sees a man named Neil in front of the door. Owen recognizes Neil and opens the door for him to come in.
Just then, Neil says he wants to see the woman in the basement, but Owen mentions that he cannot let that happen. He adds that Neil can take his grief elsewhere, but Neil says he just wants answers. He also offers to pay Owen just to see the woman, but Owen rejects the money and tells him to go home. Unfolding as they do for a reason.
After Neil leaves, Owen takes his medication and sits in front of a camera to record a video. As the recording starts, Owen says he's done with the pub and wants the next owner to know that the place comes with a special tenant who lives in the basement. He adds that the woman in the basement is tied to the house and that whoever buys the property and signs their name on the deed will become the woman's new guardian. He also warns that the woman must never be let out of the basement because she's very dangerous.
He says he'll try to get rid of her tonight, but that if anyone watches the video, then it means he failed. Following this, you find what you're looking for. Owen heads to the basement and straps the strange woman to a chair. He then tries to set her on fire, but she manages to cut off the power in the basement to distract him.
Following this, Owen accidentally sets himself on fire and dies while leaving the basement. Elsewhere, a girl named Iris breaks into her old apartment to pick up some of her things. You said your dad was dead. Her friend Katie accompanies her, and after they get what they want, they leave the building.
Iris then says she'll have to sort things out and find another apartment while she waits for the outcome of an art scholarship she applied for. Almost immediately, she gets a call from someone who tells her to come to Berlin to identify her dad's body. Iris looks shocked because she hasn't spoken to her dad in years, but she still decides to travel to Berlin. I can review his assets with you once we have them.
When she gets there, she goes to the morg and identifies her dad's body. As she's about to leave, she is approached by a solicitor who says he's acting on behalf of her dad's property. Iris asks what he's talking about, and he just takes her to the pub. Iris looks surprised that her dad owned a pub, but the solicitor says she doesn't have to worry about it because he can handle the sale and the transfer of ownership.
Iris asks if she can look inside, and the solicitor says she can. Yeah, I work with a consortium of investors who When they enter the building, Iris looks around and sees some old photos on the wall. After a while, she goes upstairs to her dad's room and notices that her dad's things are inside a box. She looks confused and asks the solicitor whether her dad was about to leave.
The man says he had no idea, and he continues encouraging Iris to sell the place. Iris says she'd like to talk to her lawyer first, and the solicitor looks disappointed. Iris also asks if she can spend the night at the pub. Financial impossibility, I'm afraid, and the solicitor says she can.
That night, after the solicitor leaves, Iris calls Katie to tell her what's happening. Katie then says she's coming to Berlin to stay with Iris because she doesn't want her friend to be alone. Later that night, Iris struggles to sleep and eventually hears a strange sound coming from downstairs. She looks scared and heads down to see if there's anyone around.
As she walks toward the basement, she tries to open the door, but realizes that it's locked. Suddenly, Iris sees someone in the pub and looks shocked. It's in your hands now. It eventually turns out to be Neil, who says he didn't mean to scare her. He asks if she's the new owner, but Iris looks too scared to respond.
Neil then introduces himself and says he wants to see the woman in the basement. Iris doesn't understand this, but Neil offers to give her €2,000 if she lets him see the woman. Iris looks confused because she doesn't know what Neil is talking about. He then mentions that he needs to see his wife.
Why don't you just just take the money? But Iris says there's no one else in the pub. Neil thinks she's lying and he gives her all the money with him and offers to bring more tomorrow if she lets him go down to the basement. Iris looks shocked because Neil is actually offering to pay her €4,000.
Neil says he knows what to do when he gets to the basement, but Iris says she doesn't have a key yet. She tells him to come back tomorrow and he looks pleased. After Neil leaves, Iris starts thinking about what to do. I know what to do. The next day, she goes to the solicitor's office and asks him to put the property in her name.
The solicitor says he's shocked by her decision, but that he understands. He then gives her a pen and tells her to write her name on the deed. After she does this, the solicitor gives her a videape that Owen left for the new owner. When Iris returns home, she looks at the tape and sees the word instructions written on it.
Before she can play the video, Katie arrives and Iris tells her about what happened the previous day with Neil. She also mentions that Neil is offering to pay a lot of money. We need your help. And it's probably some kind of joke that her dad exploited. Katie finds this weird, but Iris thinks it's a good opportunity to make some money.
Shortly after, Neil arrives and Iris takes him to the basement along with Katie. When they get there, Neil calls the woman to come out of a hole in the wall. Katie and Iris joke about this because they think he's being delusional. Stop. But a strange woman with a bag over her head suddenly comes out of the wall and walks toward Iris.
Katie looks scared, but Iris just freezes and doesn't know what to do. Before the woman can get closer, Iris tells her to get back, and she does just this. Neil looks impressed and says that the woman obeys Iris. Sit in the chair. He also [clears throat] tells Iris to control the woman to sit.
After she does this, Neil says he wants to see his wife who died a while ago in a car accident. The strange woman asks for something belonging to Neil's wife and he gives her his wife's ring. Suddenly, the woman swallows the ring and turns into Neil's mother. Neil looks shocked and says he wanted to see his wife, not his mother.
Iris and Katie look confused, but Neil realizes that his mother appeared because the ring previously belonged to her before he gave it to his wife. I don't want to talk to you, but here you are. Neil seems pissed at his mother for abandoning him as a child after she killed herself. He says he always blamed himself for it, but that he now wants to know why his mom really killed herself.
Just as his mom is about to respond, her eyes turn black and she says she killed herself because of Neil. Interestingly, it turns out that the strange woman, Bagghead, is back in control. And as she pounces on Neil, she starts vomiting in his face. Iris looks shocked and immediately tells Bagghad to stop and return to the hole.
"You never wanted to kiss me when you were little." After this, Iris, Katie, and Neil leave the basement. Neil says he needs to try it again because he wants to say goodbye to his wife. He adds that he made a mistake because he should have known that Bagghad would regain control after 2 minutes. He also mentions that Owen used to have a timer with him, but Katie seems pissed and tells him to leave.
Iris also tells Neil that his wife is dead and he has to accept it. After Neil leaves, Katie and Iris decide to watch Owen's video. In the extended version of the video, Owen mentions that the woman in the basement can bring the dead back to life for 2 minutes before she regains control of her body. She'll be you and only you.
He warns the new owners not to use the woman's abilities because she'll manipulate them and grow stronger. He adds that the new owner cannot escape because the woman's curse will bring sickness and death wherever he or she goes. Before he ends the video, he says he once had a family, but he lost them because of the woman in the basement. After the recording ends, Katie seems worried and suggests leaving Berlin, but Iris says she wants to stay.
She adds that they now know the rules and can make a lot of money from Neil. Katie cannot believe Iris is really considering staying, but Iris says it will only be for a few days. One day, we'll be on our own. We'll we'll be making our own choices. The next day, Iris heads to Neil's house to talk to him about Bagghad.
Meanwhile, as Katie walks near the basement, one of the picture frames on the wall falls. Katie looks surprised and picks up the photo, which has the name Ottovogler written on its back along with an address. She immediately checks the name online and finds out that Otto used to live in the building before he killed himself. Katie finds this surprising and as she closes her laptop, she sees Otto's ghost sitting at the pub.
She looks scared and picks up a stick, but Otto immediately disappears. We know what we're dealing with. No, we don't. But we know enough. Shortly after, Neil returns to the pub and heads to the basement with Katie and Iris, who now has a timer. Just then, Neil brings his wife back to life and asks her for the name of the person she wanted to leave him for.
Katie and Iris look shocked because they thought Neil wanted to say goodbye. Neil's wife says she doesn't know what he's talking about. And as the timer hits 2 minutes, Bagghead takes over her body and insults Neil. Before Bagghead can hurt Neil, Iris steps in and defends him. Bagghead then tries to hurt Iris, but she eventually decides against it.
Iris seems scared and says that Baghead is supposed to obey her because she's the new guardian. If someone you loved was going to leave you, wouldn't you want to know why? However, Baghead turns back and says, "It seems Iris hasn't realized that they're both prisoners." After this, Iris and Katie leave the basement and tell Neil to go home. That night, while Iris is drinking alone in the pub, she sees her dad's reflection in a mirror and looks shocked.
Almost immediately, she sees a vision of what happened to her dad before he died. Interestingly, Owen went to the basement to see his late wife and tell her that he was leaving to find Iris. The timer soon hits 2 minutes, and Bagghad tells him not to make the same mistake he made years ago when he left the pub and was cursed. You had your chance.
Now get out. Owen seems pissed and says he'll burn her and the house down so he can be free. After pouring some gasoline around her chair, the lights suddenly went off and Bagghad scared Owen and made him burn himself alive. When Iris returns to reality, she heads to her room to get some sleep.
Suddenly, she hears someone calling her name and realizes that it's coming from the basement. Iris follows the sound and looks shocked to see her dad in the basement. Just as Owen is about to go into the hole, Iris tells him to stop. He then turns to her and says she's not up to the task.
He adds that Bagghead can sense Iris's fear. Please, I'm your wife. Please. Before Iris can say anything, she realizes that she has been talking to Baghead. Suddenly, Baghead tries to hurt her again by strangling her, but Katie shows up and saves her life. Katie then shows Iris the photo she saw the other day.
Interestingly, Iris notices that the man standing beside Otto is the solicitor. They quickly head to the man's office and realize that he has left town. As they try to decide what to do next, Katie suggests leaving the pub and heading back home. However, Iris says she cannot go back to her ordinary life now that she has something special that can make her a lot of money.
Katie believes Iris is making a mistake, but Iris says that her friend is probably jealous of what she has. Yeah. Yeah. Just walk out then. Katie seems pissed and decides to leave the pub. When she gets into her car, she rethinks her decision and decides to visit the address on the back of Otto's photo.
Interestingly, it turns out to be an abandoned house, but Katie still finds some notes on the wall which indicate that Otto tried to find his way out of the pub. Since the notes might contain useful information on what Iris can do to get rid of Bagghad, she takes everything with her and leaves. Back at the pub, Iris heads to the basement and uses Bagghad to bring her dad back to life. Owen looks surprised to see Iris and says she shouldn't be in the basement or in the pub.
Iris then laments that he didn't speak to her for years, and Owen says he couldn't risk putting her life in danger. He adds that the one time he tried to leave, terrible things followed him, and Iris's mom died. Iris says she just wants to know how to control Bagghad, but Owen says it's not possible. He warns Iris that Bagghad will continue messing with her head and that the only thing Iris can do is to not use her.
She's not your curse. Iris says she'll sell the pub before Bagghead gets into her head, but Owen says she can't escape as long as her name is on the deed. As the time also runs out, he begs Iris not to bring him back again. Iris then leaves the basement and tries to burn the deed, but nothing happens to it.
As she realizes that she's really a prisoner of the building, she looks scared and wonders what to do next. A while later, Katie returns to the pub and hears a strange sound in the basement. When Katie gets there, Bagghad attacks her and uses a piece of paper in her bag to bring Otto back to life. Katie looks surprised and asks Otto how she and her friend can get out of the house.
Otto says they can't because their fate was sealed 400 years ago when an ancient brotherhood discovered a conjurer who could bring the dead back to life. The Brotherhood tried to abuse her power, but when she refused, they branded her a witch and burned her alive. She eventually rose from the dead and turned into a vengeful spirit who cursed the Brotherhood. No one will use her again.
She'll be powerless. To permanently get rid of her, the Brotherhood had to perform a dark ritual to seal her spirit in an underground tomb. Centuries later, the descendants of the Brotherhood opened the tomb to abuse her power again. But the conjurer made them sick and killed all but one of them, who signed the deed and inherited the curse by becoming the guardian.
Otto then implies that Iris cannot leave the house because she's the new guardian. Katie cannot believe this, but before she can leave the basement, Bagghad takes over Otto's body and locks the door. The next morning, Iris wakes up and gets a call from Katie, who says she's in the basement. Iris quickly heads down there and realizes that Katie is inside the hole.
As Iris walks into it, she finds Katie's dead body and realizes that the monster killed her friend. Iris isn't happy about this and she threatens to kill the monster who suddenly tries to attack her. Luckily, Neil arrives at the pub and saves Iris before she gets killed. You were going to abandon me just like her.
As Iris laments that Katie is dead because of her, Neil gives her some pills that will help her calm down. He then asks what Iris wants to do next, and she says she'll seal the hole and trap the monster forever. Almost immediately, she feels dizzy. And it turns out that Neil actually gave her a seditive.
When she wakes up, she hears Neil's voice in the basement and secretly heads down there. She then hears him telling Bagghead that he's ready to become the guardian so he can speak to his wife anytime he pleases as he signs his name on the deed. It disappears and Bagghead suddenly turns into Neil's wife, who accuses him of killing her. Neil says he only drugged her to calm her down and that he had no idea she was going to leave the house and drive her car.
She then convinces Neil to kill Iris because it's the only way he'll become the guardian. Following this, Neil runs after Iris, but she escapes and hides on the roof. Neil eventually finds her and even though she begs him not to kill her, he still throws her off the roof. After [snorts] Iris dies, Neil heads to the basement and tells Bagghead to bring Iris back to life so she can put his name on the deed.
Sweetheart, don't worry. Don't worry, I'll help you. Just then, Baghead swallows Iris phone and turns into Iris, who asks why Neil killed her. Neil says he didn't have a choice because Iris was trying to seal the hole despite knowing how useful Baghead can be. Neil then tells Iris to sign the deed, but Bagghad takes over Iris's body and thanks Neil for bringing Iris back.
She adds that Iris is still her guardian because her name is on the deed. Neil doesn't understand this, but Iris says Bagghead is now in control of her body and free to leave. Before Neil can do anything, Bagghad controls Iris to kill him. She then sets the building on fire and walks out freely for the first time in many years.
After Iris's dad dies, she goes to Berlin and inherits his pub. She soon realizes that there's a strange woman in the basement who can bring the dead back to life for 2 minutes. Even though this seems dangerous, we can't be a family if she's alive. Iris still chooses to stay in the house so she can make some money off a desperate man named Neil, who wants to see his dead wife again.
Unfortunately, things don't work out as planned, and Bagghad manipulates Iris and Neil so they can unknowingly help her escape from the basement, which has been her prison for many ears.
