In a magical kingdom called Centopia, an elf named Eco from Lotus Island looks excited as he flies toward a cave to give the empress, Shouba, her lunch. Just as he gets there, he sees the ground shaking and wonders what's going on.

He then enters the cave and sees his dad, Nino, talking to Shoua and some of her guards, including someone named Glitch. Interestingly, it turns out that a prisoner named Toxor is about to escape from the pool of fear, which is a place where he has been locked in for years. Flying machine. Oh, the Nino looks shocked to see his son inside the cave, and he asks what Eco is doing there.

Eko says he came to deliver the empress's lunch, but Nino mentions that he has to leave because the cave is not safe. Suddenly, the ground starts shaking and the guards notice that it's causing a crack leading to a ruby gemstone inside the cave. As they realize that Toxor is responsible for what's happening, the ruby falls into the pool of fear and this brings down the shield covering it. Almost immediately, Toxer reveals himself and says that he'll defeat them.

No, I really think I'll stay here. Some of the guards then try to attack him, but he uses his dark magical powers to turn them into groundlings who will fight for him. As Glitch gets turned into one, Schuba realizes what Toxor is doing, and she tells her guards not to breathe in the smoke from Toxor's magic. Unfortunately, some of the guards still fall for Toxor's spell, and they become his soldiers.

As Shouba sees that Toxor is turning all her guards against her, she quickly tells Nino to grab the ruby. I asked you, you first because it's one of the things they'll need to imprison Toxor again. Nino then tells Eko to take the Empress out of the cave while he heads toward the Ruby. Unfortunately, Toxer brings down some rocks to stop Nino, who gets trapped under one of them.

Ekko looks scared and immediately runs to help his dad. Before he can remove the rocks though, he sees Glitch going to grab Shouba. Following this, he just abandons the rocks and leaves the cave with the empress before Glitch can reach her. Toxor then comes out of the pool of fear and tells his groundlings that he'll make sure the elves of Centopia pay for his imprisonment.

And I want you to stay. Elsewhere, a girl named Mia follows her grandpa on a trip to their vacation home. On the way, Mia seems quite sad, but her grandpa cheers her up by singing one of her favorite songs. He then mentions that he also remembers it being Mia's dad's favorite song.

As Mia hears this, she says she misses going on vacation with her late parents. Mia's grandpa says he also misses them. And as he stares at Mia, he slightly loses concentration while driving. I don't. Mia finds this funny and as she picks up a book titled The Legend of Centopia, Mia's grandpa says he thought she was going to leave the book back at home.

Mia mentions that it's really important to her and her grandpa says he knows. However, he mentions that he's sure Mia's late parents would want her to start making her own stories instead of sticking with theirs. Mia then opens the book and smiles as she says that it's also hers. Shortly after, they arrive at their vacation home.

My valiant trusted stain. And Mia's grandpa says it's good to be there at last. When they get out of the car, Mia's grandpa says that the house still looks good, even though no one has been there for 3 years. Mia doesn't seem to share in her grandpa's enthusiasm, and she mentions that it feels different to be back there.

Mia's grandpa then shows her the beautiful view of the lake near the house. Mia acknowledges that it's really beautiful and her grandpa eventually suggests going inside the house to arrange their things. When they enter the house, they realize that it looks dirty and Mia complains about this. I want to go to school.

Her grandpa says it's nothing to worry about because the house just needs a little bit of love. Mia suggests going back to the city, but her grandpa says he'll just bring their things from the car. After he heads outside, Mia walks around the house and smiles when she sees her old unicorn stuffed toy. She then picks it up and heads to her room.

When she gets there, she suddenly remembers a moment from the past. On that day, Mia's mom tried to get her to sleep, but Mia said she wasn't ready to go to bed because she wanted to go out to swim. Mia's mom complains that she has been swimming all day and that it's now time for bed. Are you okay? [clears throat] Am I okay?

She also offers to tell Mia a magical story about a unicorn so she can go to bed. Mia looks happy as she remembers this and she eventually sits on her old bed and looks at a picture of her parents as she says that she misses them. The bed suddenly collapses and Mia looks disappointed by this. Shortly after, Mia spends some time cleaning the house with her grandpa.

When they're almost through, Mia's grandpa suggests taking a break and going out for a swim. him. I thought I dust you to this darn book. But she tells him that they still have a lot to do. Her grandpa says they deserve a break after everything they've done so far. But Mia says he can go without her.

Her grandpa looks disappointed by this. And as he sees her looking at the legend of Centopia, he says that he remembers a time when she enjoyed things other than the book. Mia agrees with him and says that she'll take the book to her room. Her grandpa looks happy about this and asks if she would like to have an early lunch.

Last one in is a stinky toad. Mia says she doesn't mind and her grandpa mentions that he'll get the food from the car. After this, the sapphire in Mia's bracelet suddenly starts glowing and she quickly heads to her room. She then opens the legend of Centopia and sees some strange symbols inside it.

Mia recognizes this as an oracle, and as she recites some words on her bracelet, her body slowly begins to vanish. Almost immediately, Mia's grandpa enters her room and looks shocked to see what's happening. As he asks what's wrong, Mia just tells him not to be worried because she'll be back soon. Suddenly, Mia changes into an elf and finds herself in Centopia.

As she says it's good to be back, Ekko's ship bumps into her and she falls into it. Ekko looks shocked to see her and he assumes that she's a sky pirate. Mia denies this and asks who he is, but Ekko refuses to tell her anything until she introduces herself. Mia then says her name and mentions that she's on a quest to save Centtopia.

Ekko says the same thing, and he wonders where she's from. What is this? Mia offers to help Eko on the quest, but he tells her to leave him alone. She then unknowingly bumps into something that releases all the balloons, keeping Ekko's ship afloat. Eko looks disappointed by this and even though he tries to get the balloons back, the ship crashes near a party in a part of Centopia called Main Island.

As the residents on the island look confused, Mia comes out of the ship and sees her old friends, Prince Mo, Yuko, and a unicorn named Enoa. And remember, you got to be under 3 ft. Mo and Yuko look happy to see Mia, and they ask who Eco is. Mia says she bumped into him when she arrived in Centopia.

She adds that they need to speak to Mo's parents because Centopia is in trouble. Ekko doesn't know what parents mean, and he just tells Mo and Yuko that he wants to speak to the king and queen. Yuko says that most parents are kings and queens. And as Eko looks confused, Mo's parents show up to welcome their guests.

The king says, "It's nice to see Mia again. Make sure those ropes are tight, Zanda." And as he recognizes Eko's uniform, he asks if he's from Lotus Island. Ekko then confirms this and mentions that he brings grave news. As he says that Toxer has escaped, everyone looks shocked, but Mia asks who Eko is talking about.

Before anyone can respond to her, the queen suggests going to the palace because they all have a lot to discuss. Elsewhere, Toxer and his groundlings start destroying the trees and plants on Lotus Island. After Glitch and some other soldiers stop a unicorn from escaping, we're getting the bottle ready. Toxor sees them admiring it and he quickly uses his dark magic to change its appearance.

Back on Main Island, Mia sees a picture of Toxor in her book and Eco mentions that the evil frog used his dark magic to change the guards on Lotus Island into mindless slaves. The king and queen look shocked by this, but Ekko still mentions that his dad died trying to stop Toxor. Mia says she's sorry about that and Ekko mentions that Shouba sent him to Main Island to gather an army as he says that they have to stop Toxor. Any second now.

The king agrees because if they don't, all the islands in Centopia will fall. Mia then sees a picture of a lady beating up Toxor in her book. As she asks who it is, the queen says it's the hero of Centopia. Mia suggests calling her to come and save them again. But the queen says that the hero of Centopia left their world a long time ago.

However, she suggests that Mia being in Centopia just at the same time escaped cannot be a coincidence as the king asks what the oracle said. Ekko looks confused. See you on Lotus Island. But Mia just mentions that it was something about a monstrous evil that will forever ravage all the lands unless a faraway child and a new friend gather three things in hand.

Ekko still looks confused and says he was told to gather an army and not to gather precious things and hold hands. As he asks what the oracle is, Mia says it's what brings her to Centopia from her world. Eko doesn't understand what she means by her world and he asks where her island is located. As Mo says it's a far away land.

Well, good morning, sleepy head. He immediately remembers what the oracle said. Mia also understands what he's trying to say, but she can't seem to believe that she's the faraway child who will stop Toxer. Meanwhile, Toxer sees some of his groundlings playing with the red ruby, and he looks shocked by this.

After he collects it from them, Glitch shows up to inform his new master that he has converted more elves into groundlings. Toxor looks happy because his army is growing, but he suddenly tells Glitch to attack him. Glitch doesn't understand this, but Toxor says he wants to use the red stone as a shield in a real battle, just like the hero of Centopia did against him many years ago. He then holds the ruby tightly and tells Glitch to hit him.

Glitch just taps Toxer's head gently, but Toxer seems pissed because that's not good enough to be called an attack. As Glitch then hits him well, he flies across the room and bumps into a rock before falling to the ground. Glitch quickly runs to check up on Toxor, but he says that he's fine. He then starts wondering why the ruby didn't protect him.

Got to get out of here. It's glitchy. And Glitch suggests using his dark magic on it. Toxer likes this idea, and as he does this, the Ruby and Pool of Fear begin to glow. Meanwhile, Ekko tells the king that he needs Maine Island's army to help take down Toxer, but Mia suggests waiting until they're able to decode the rest of the oracle.

Suddenly, Mia's bracelet starts glowing again. And as Eco sees it, he says it was made on Lotus Island. Mia says it was a gift from her parents and she laments that it's not supposed to be glowing because it's too early for her to go back. Just then, Toxor magically appears on the window and they all look shocked to see him.

It then turns out that using his dark magic on the ruby has made it create a portal to show him the other precious stones in Centopia. As Toxer then wonders what they're up to, Ekko realizes that the evil frog is with the ruby. Almost immediately, a unicorn suddenly appears on another part of the window. And as they wonder what's going on, they see that it also has a precious stone.

Following this, Mia realizes that the three precious stones are what the oracle said would be used to defeat Toxor. Now go get glitch, shelf. As Toxor hears this, he gets pissed and starts banging on the window. The other unicorn also gets annoyed and uses its powers to create a lightning strike to sever the portal's connection.

After Toxor and the unicorn disappear, Mia and the others look shocked. On Choa then tells Mia that the unicorn who just left is a storm unicorn named Stormy who likes to collect shiny things. Ekko asks if Mia can really understand unicorns, and she says she can. As Mia then talks about Stormy, Ekko sounds concerned about his mission.

However, Mia says that their mission is to save Centtopia together. The king also mentions that if Mia is the faraway child, then Ekko must be the new friend. Ekko doesn't sound sure about this, but Mia tells him to trust the oracle. The king then says he'll send Mo and Yuko to lead Main Island's forces to keep Toxor at bay until Mia and Ekko retrieve the last stone from Stormmy.

Ekko says he doesn't know how they'll leave the island because his ship crashed earlier. Nacha, no. Don't hurt her. Almost immediately, Mia sees an inventor named Fuddle and goes to meet him. Fuddle looks happy to see that Mia is back, and she says she just wants to borrow his flying machine.

Fuddle says he doesn't mind, and the king salutes his bravery for volunteering to go on the mission, even though it's dangerous. Fuddle looks shocked by this, and he wonders what the king is talking about. Elsewhere, Toxer realizes that the ruby is very powerful and he throws it into the pool of fear because he doesn't want anyone to use it against him. After this, he turns to Glitch and tells him to head out to find the other gemstones.

Glitch doesn't know where to start his search, but Toxor tells him to go to the storm unicorn's island first. Back on Main Island, Mia and Aiko enter Fuddle's flying machine and head towards Stormy's island. On the way, Mia notices that Aiko is having a cold, and she gives him a blanket to feel warm. Iko thanks her for this.

But as Fuddle sees them together, he remembers that he has an invention that can provide them with warmth. After he tells Mia and Eko that they need his invention, which he calls puppies, he gives them one each. Go, Mia. As Eco wonders why Fuddle calls his invention puppies, he and Mia accidentally activate the device, and it traps them in a bubble-like object.

They both look shocked by this, and Fuddle asks if his puppies are great. Eko laments that he can't move in them, but Mia thinks they're fun because she can just bump into her new friend to play with him. As she does this, Ekko loses balance and nearly falls off the flying machine. Mia then asks how they can take off the puppies, but Fuddle doesn't seem to know this.

Onoa then pops the puppies and gives Eco a blanket while saying it might be best for him to use it. Shortly after, Eko wakes up from a nap and wonders if Fuddle is still taking them in the right direction. Fuddle says he is, and as Mia notices that Ekko looks stressed, she tells him to relax. Ekko says he can't relax because Toxor is about to destroy Centopia and he's not even sure if he can help. as he implies that the oracle might be wrong about him being the new friend, Mia says it's never wrong.

Ekko then mentions that on the day Toxor escaped, he was just at the cave to deliver the empress's lunch as he says he feels lost without his dad, Mia mentions that she understands him because she lost her parents 3 years ago to a drowning accident. Ekko says he's sorry to hear that and Mia mentions that her parents left her with the bracelet. Ekko then asks how they could have gotten a bracelet from Lotus Island, but Mia says she doesn't know. She says it's possible that they wanted her to come to Centopia and that it's time for her and Ieko to save it.

Almost immediately, Glitch and some other soldiers attack the flying machine and try to convert Eko and Mia into Toxor's groundlings. Luckily, Ekko and Mia managed to defend themselves well, and Fuddle and Onoa also help them. Just as Glitch then snatches the sapphire in Mia's bracelet, he leaves the flying machine before it gets hit with lightning. Unfortunately, Fuddle loses control of it and it crashes on Stormy's island.

Mia then complains that her Sapphire has been stolen, and Eco blames Fuddle for crashing the flying machine. Captain, I wish I wasn't the captain anymore. As they then argue about this, Mia stops them and says that they're supposed to work as a team. Fuddle and Ekko agree to do this and they start looking around to find Stormmy.

Elsewhere, Mo and Yuko lead an army to Lotus Island to attack Toxor and his groundlings. However, as they arrive on the island, the soldiers start going missing one by one, and Mo looks confused by this. Meanwhile, Mia, Eco, Fuddle, and Onoa find Stormy's place and see all the shiny things he has there. Almost immediately, Stormmy shows up and assumes that they're thieves, and he nearly strikes them down.

Mia says they aren't thieves and that they came to seek Stormy's help. Stormmy still thinks she's lying because no one ever needs his help, but Onoa tells him that Toxor has escaped. Stormmy looks shocked and mentions that he saw Toxor in his drinking bowl a while ago and Mia says they have to work together to stop him. She adds that the key to defeating Toxor is in Stormy's necklace.

Stormmy realizes that Mia is talking about the emerald on his necklace and he mentions that he can't give it up because that's all he has. Well, I wasn't the one throwing lightning bolt. Mia and the others don't understand this, but Stormmy suddenly starts crying and complaining about how he has no friends. Surprisingly, he starts shrinking as he cries, but Mia and Ekko console him to make him feel better.

Mia also informs Stormmy that he needs him to come with them to Lotus Island to stop Toxor. Stormmy looks happy about this, and he creates a magical rainbow that they can ride in to reach Lotus Island. Elsewhere, Glitch delivers the sapphire to Toxor, but the evil frog still seems unsatisfied because his groundlings haven't retrieved the last gemstone. As he complains about this, he suddenly sees that Mia and the others are coming toward Lotus Island with Stormmy.

He looks pissed by this and says that he'll have to handle the situation by himself. Shortly after, Mia and the others arrive on Lotus Island, and Ekko looks disappointed to see what Toxor has done to the trees and plants there. Before they can go too far, Toxor gets them surrounded by groundlings, and he tells Stormmy to give up the emerald. We'll get a bird's eye view.

Yeah. So he can throw it into the pool of fear because it's the only place no one is courageous enough to go. Stormmy refuses to give it up. And as Anoa attacks the groundlings, Ekko and Mai also try to protect the emerald. Unfortunately, Ekko gets turned into a groundling and Toxor manages to get hold of the emerald.

Before he can hurt Mia and the others, Mo, Yuko, and Shouba show up and help them escape. Mia says they have to go back to save Eco, but Schuba mentions that Toxor soldiers are too strong for them. Mia suggests launching an attack with Main Island's soldiers, but Mo says they got ambushed when they arrived and that only a few of them were able to escape. Mia looks disappointed by this, and Stormmy also complains because Toxor will throw the emerald into the pool of fear.

Almost immediately, they all see Toxor's troops preparing to head toward Lotus City, and Shoua tells Mia and the others that they have to get there quickly. Meanwhile, Toxer throws the emerald into the pool of fear and laments that it didn't feel as exciting as he expected. Are you okay? Glitch then shows up to inform Toxer that his troops are ready to march to Lotus City.

Talker seems surprised that Glitch is truly loyal and he mentions that they have to destroy Shouba and the other elves. As they leave the cave together, Ekko looks disappointed because there's nothing he can do. Shortly after, Shouba and the others reach Lotus City, and the Empress says she knows that Mia is the faraway child who will save them. Mia says it can't be her because all she has done is fail, but Mo and Yuko try to encourage her.

Mia still feels sad because Toxor managed to take all the gemstones and Eko also got captured. Almost immediately, Shoua tells Mo and Yuko to organize the troops in Lotus City to prepare for Toxor's attack while she takes Mia to see something. After they walk away, Mo starts wondering what they can do to stop Toxor. Suddenly, one of the guards gets trapped in one of Fuddle's puppies, and this gives Mo an idea.

He and the others then take Fuddle to a lab where he can create more puppies. Elsewhere, Schuba takes Mia to the city's hall of heroes. We have to go help him, Mo. Goooo, come back. And says that there's someone she has to see. On the way, Mia sees Toxor looking different, and she asks if it's really the evil frog.

Shoua says it's him, and that he was once the Lord of Lilies. She adds that he used to be wise, kind, and happy, but that he eventually got consumed by his hatred for elves because he couldn't fly. Shoua then shows Mia a picture of the hero of Centopia. Mia looks amazed by this, but Shouba tells her to look closely at the hero.

As Mia does this, she sees that the hero has a bracelet just like hers. Shoua says it's the same one and that she was the one who made it for the hero of Centopia. Mia looks confused by this, but she eventually realizes that her mom was the hero. Shoua confirms this and says that Mia is the faraway child who has come home to save them all.

As Mia then sees another picture of her parents, Shouba says she sees Mia's mother's courage in her. Mia asks how she'll succeed without Eco, but Shouba says that destiny will reveal itself once she gets the stones. She then tells Mia to leave the city secretly. What happened here? nothing good so she can go to the pool of fear.

Shoua says the pool will play tricks on Mia's mind, but that she has to remain courageous, so she'll find the stones. After this, Mia leaves the city and heads toward the cave. Meanwhile, Toxor's troops start climbing the city's walls to get in, but Mo and the others continue trying their best to stop the groundlings. Fuddle eventually finishes up with the puppies, and the city's troops use them to attack Toxor's groundlings.

Unfortunately, Toxor finds a way to use the puppies against them, and Yuko gets turned into a groundling before she can attack Mo. Schuba carries him away and tells the others to head to the main hall. Elsewhere, Mia secretly walks into the cave, but before she can reach the pool of fear, Ekko stops her as he tries to convert her into a groundling. Mia tells him to remember who he is.

Suddenly, Ekko stops shooting at her and he allows her to jump into the pool of fear. As Mia jumps in, she starts hearing a strange voice insulting her. The voice also says she's not a hero. Come on, get in. And that when she fails, everyone will forget about her. Mia refuses to believe this, and as she remembers that her grandpa and the elves are waiting for her to return, she stands up to the voice and says that she's not scared.

Following this, she manages to retrieve the three gemstones. But as she tries to swim back to the top, she gets weak. Before she falls back to the bottom, Ekko jumps in to save her, and she thanks him for this. Shortly after, they head to the city with the stones, and Toxer looks shocked to see them.

As Mai and Eko then hold hands, nothing happens, and they look confused. Mia says the stones should work because Ekko is her new friend. But Toxor jokes that when he turns her into a groundling, he'll be the only friend she needs. Almost immediately, Mia gets an idea and says that Toxer is right because they actually need to be friends for the stones to work.

As she then tries to give him the stones, a magical dome covers them, and Toxer looks scared. Mia says there's no need for him to be scared and that he has to give friendship a chance. No one flies until we find goooo and this lotus city. As she says he'll be happy again, Toxor seems interested in this and he holds her hand.

Suddenly, he turns into his normal self again and all the groundlings become normal elves. Ekko also looks happy when he sees that Nino is still alive. Meanwhile, Mia sees that her sapphire has broken into pieces. As Fuddle realizes that she won't be able to go back home, he looks disappointed for her.

However, Shouba still seems in a joyous mood and she announces that Mia is the new hero of Centopia. As they all dance together, Ekko invites Mia to stay on Lotus Island with him since she can't go home. Almost immediately, Fuddle finds a way to repair her sapphire, but he mentions that the spark is only sufficient to make one last trip. Mia looks disappointed because this means she won't be able to come to Centopia again.

Her friends also feel sad about this, but she says she'll never forget them. Following this, she leaves Centopia and reappears in her room, leaving her grandpa shocked. He then asks what happened, but Mia says it's a long story. She adds that she'll tell him all about it later, but that they have to go for a swim first.
