SPOILER ALERTThe full story below, including the ending.

New York City. Okay. You are going to be the best dad. Just kidding. On Earth 828, a woman named Sue takes a pregnancy test and learns that she's pregnant. She immediately tells her husband Reed, who looks surprised and happy because they have been trying for 2 years. Reed also starts thinking about what the baby could look like and whether it could be affected by the cosmic rays he and Sue were exposed to during their space mission a few years ago.

Sue tells Reed not to worry about that for now, and he agrees to just enjoy the moment. That's not Shortly after, a TV show host named Ted welcomes his viewers and guests to a special event celebrating the 4-year anniversary of the superhero group called the Fantastic 4. To celebrate the anniversary, Ted plays a video recording to take the world through the story of how the Fantastic 4 emerged. It turns out that four years ago, Reed and Sue were accompanied by Reed's best friend, Ben, and Sue's brother, Johnny, on a space exploration trip.

That last voice you just heard was my baby brother, Jonathan Storm. During their venture in space, they encountered a cosmic storm that altered their DNA and gave them superpowers. Reed can now stretch his body at will. Sue can turn invisible. Ben is a big rocky human called the Thing.

And Johnny is capable of becoming a human torch. With their powers, these individuals decided to become superheroes. And they have been saving the world from different threats since their return from space. They also became leaders in the world. And Sue was very pivotal in creating an international organization called Future Foundation to help promote global peace.

New charter, the Future Foundation. This move helped in brokering a deal with a man named Harvey, who is the leader of the underground nation called Subterraneania. After the video recording ends, Ted welcomes the Fantastic Four on stage, and everyone applauds them. Later that night, Ben and Johnny prepare for dinner and realize that Sue and Reed are late.

When they eventually arrive, they act weirdly while trying to make an excuse for being late. Ben notices that something is wrong. And as he takes a closer look at Sue, he asks if she's pregnant. Are you pregnant? Sue and Reed confirm this, and Ben and Johnny look excited. The good news soon gets announced to the public, and Reed starts working with a robot named Herby to keep the house safe for the baby.

The Fantastic 4's chief of staff, Lynn, also helps Sue with some of her work as she prepares for her maternity leave. Months later, as Reed continues preparing for the arrival of the baby, he gets an alert of a new transmission that came from deep space. Reed tells Herby to record it so they can trace its origin. Johnny, do we have to today?

Almost immediately, Johnny arrives at the lab to talk about making new suits for space travel. Reed doesn't think that's important now, but Johnny wants him to at least look at the new design. Reed just places it on his board and focuses on trying to perfect the teleportation system that he has been working on. Johnny offers to help.

And as the small prototype teleportation device works, it consumes so much power that it shuts down the lights in the lab. Reed tells Johnny to fix it. And even though he's tired of Reed never listening to him, he still does as he's told. Thank you, Herbert. After this, he listens to the recording of the new transmission and realizes that it contains a complex language, which is similar to a few others that the Fantastic 4 have recorded over the past few months.

The next day, Sue sees Herby building the baby's crib, and goes to ask Reed why he isn't doing it instead. Reed says he's trying to build a machine that can tell them all they need to know about their baby. Sue doesn't think he should still be worried since all the tests they have done so far indicate that their baby is fine. It's absolutely perfect.

Reed insists that their baby's DNA might be compromised because of them, but Sue assures her husband that the baby is fine. She also uses her powers to show Reed her womb so he can see that the baby is perfectly okay. Shortly after, before they have dinner, Ben and Johnny look surprised when they hear cop sirens around the city. Reed then tells them that he's behind what's happening.

He says he has been tracking some small criminal organizations in the city. Would you look at that? And the cops are going to arrest the suspects. Ben and the others realize that Reed is trying to baby proof the world and he doesn't deny it. Before they can head back in for dinner, they get an alert on their special bracelet and see a strange creature called the Silver Surfer entering the city.

They look shocked and immediately head out to see what's happening. The Silver Surfer stops in the city center and when she sees the Fantastic Four, she asks if they're the protectors of their world. Sue says they are. I harrow. And the Silver Surfer mentions that their planet is now marked for death.

The Fantastic 4 and the civilians in the area look shocked, but the Silver Surfer continues and mentions that their world will be consumed by a cosmic being named Galactis. She adds that there's nothing they can do to stop him because he's a universal force. She also tells everyone to hold their loved ones close and speak the words they have been afraid to speak. As she flies away, Johnny chases her down, but only manages to grab her surfboard.

She then speaks her language and knocks him off before speeding away. That's connected to her. Yes. Back at the Fantastic 4 headquarters, Reed quickly confirms that some planets have gone missing over the past few months. The others look shocked and realize that Galactis can actually destroy their planet and leave no trace.

Reed suggests tracking the Silver Surfer's energy signature so they can find Galactis before he destroys their world. Sue and the others look worried, but Reed says it's what they have to do. Johnny then tells the team that the Silver Surfer spoke to him in her language. Well, it was in her own language.

I don't know. Since he can't really tell what was said to him, Reed and the others ignore him. As the team prepares for their journey to space, Johnny continues listening to the recording of the transmissions and Sue sees him doing this. Johnny then tells her that the Silver Surfer spoke in the same language and it could mean something.

Sue says it's possible and she tells him to go to the lab to meet Reed. When Johnny gets there, Reed shows him the new suits he just made. Johnny looks very happy, but Reed warns him against heating up beyond the suits capabilities because it could get him killed. Johnny doesn't seem to care much about this and he leaves with his suit.

Four of us will return to space and face the danger waiting there. The next day, Reed makes an announcement to the public saying that the Fantastic 4 are heading to space to find Galactis and figure out a way to protect their planet. The superheroes soon leave in their spaceship and after a successful launch, they track the Silver Surfer's energy signature and use faster than light travel to head there immediately. Surprisingly, they notice that the Silver Surfer's energy signature is coming from inside another planet.

And as they try to understand what it means, they suddenly witness the planet being destroyed. FPL. This leaves them shocked. And after preventing the debris from hitting their spaceship, they realize that the Silver Surfer meant what she said about Galactis destroying planets. Before they can leave, a red beam suddenly appears and pulls them toward the source.

As they look confused, a strange blue light scans the spaceship and focuses on Sue's belly. Just then, the Silver Surfer shows up and enters their ship, saying, "Galactis wants to see them. Galactis will see you." As she takes them to meet Galactis on his ship. Reed sends Herby to go around and collect samples.

He then asks the Silver Surfer what Galactis wants, but she says he doesn't want. He feeds. Sue asks how Galactis chooses the planets to consume, and the Silver Surfer says she's the one who does that. Johnny then flies next to her and asks what she said to him earlier before she threw him off her board.

She repeats the same thing and mentions that it means die with yours. Johnny looks confused. It's a blessing. It means But before he can ask another question, she moves away from him. Shortly after they reach their destination and the Silver Surfer introduces them to Galactis, who happens to be a giant cosmic being.

The Fantastic Four look scared because they have never seen anything like him. Galactis then says he was once little like them. You stand before Galactis billions of years ago. He adds that he was just a man from another world before he began feeling a relentless eternal hunger to devour planets.

Galactis says he can see that they have traveled far to beg for mercy. Reed says they want to talk, but Galactis says they carry the power to save their world inside Sue. The Fantastic 4 look shocked and realize that Galactis is talking about the baby. Galactis says the baby has the same hunger as he does and that he'll spare their world in exchange for the boy.

What does that mean? Sue says she cannot allow that, but Galactis says the baby possesses the power cosmic and will inherit his cursed throne. Reed looks scared and says it's not true because he has done several tests to prove that the baby is normal. Galactis says the baby boy is hiding his nature from them.

And as he induces Sue to go into labor, she starts feeling pain. Reed says he won't let Galactis have their world and their baby. What are you doing to her? and he immediately heads back to the ship with Sue and Ben while Johnny tries to torch Galactis with his powers. Unfortunately, nothing happens to Galactis and Johnny heads back to meet the others.

Before they can enter the ship, the Silver Surfer shows up and knocks down Ben and Johnny. She also attacks Reed with her surfboard before facing Sue to try to get her baby. Sue refuses to give up her baby. Surfboard, not part of the body. and she uses her powers to throw the Silver Surfer off the ship.

With this, the Fantastic Four are able to leave, but the Silver Surfer continues following them. Just as the Silver Surfer enters the ship and puts her hand into Sue's womb, Ben manages to control the ship's jump through space using faster than light travel. The Silver Surfer still continues chasing them, and Reed suggests holding her back in a black hole until they're able to escape. Ben thinks it's risky, but Reed says they have to try it.

He also tells Sue to hide the ship after her next contraction. There'll be a time dilation. How much of a dilation? Luckily, the Silver Surfer falls into the trap and the Fantastic Four are able to get her off their backs. Meanwhile, Sue still happens to be in labor and as she groans in pain, she eventually gives birth to her baby inside the ship.

Shortly after, the Fantastic 4 return to Earth and everyone celebrates their return. Before they can go to their headquarters, Lynn sets up a brief press conference. As Reed stands in front of the reporters, he says he doesn't have a planned statement. A reporter then asks if he can take them through how the Fantastic 4 defeated Galactis.

Reed says they haven't defeated Galactis yet, but the reporters don't understand this. Reed then mentions that they tried to negotiate with Galactis, but he asked too high a price. The reporters ask what Galactis wants, and Reed says the cosmic being wants his and Sue's baby. Reed says they couldn't agree to Galactis's terms.

But this gets the reporters pissed because they don't understand why the Fantastic 4 chose to keep the baby. As Reed and the rest of the team are about to leave, a reporter asks if their world is safe. Reed says he doesn't know, and the reporters look shocked because it's clear that the Fantastic 4 aren't sure if they'd be able to keep everyone safe. Elsewhere, the Silver Surfer frees herself and heads back to meet Galactis.

She apologizes for letting him down, but he just insists that he wants the child. The Silver Surfer says it's just a baby, but Galactis seems pissed and hurts her. He says that the baby is a being of infinite power who is strong enough to absorb his hunger so that he'll be able to rest. A while later, Reed and the others try to figure out what they can do to stop Galactis.

Ben suggests blowing up Galactis's ship, but Reed says their weapons won't cause any damage to it. Sue asks if he has figured anything out, but he says he hasn't. Possessing some kind of cosmic power. He adds that he has looked at the samples Herby collected from Galactis's ship and it proves that Galactis actually predates their universe.

He also mentions that it could take 10 years to understand Galactis's composition or even his existence. Sue realizes that they're probably dealing with a god, but Reed says Galactis is a powerful cosmic being who sees their baby Franklin as his successor. As he talks about how they need to come up with a plan to stop Galactis, the rest of the team mentions that they'll start thinking of something. Shortly after, Sue sees Johnny wearing his spacuit helmet in his room.

She looks confused, but he gives the helmet to her so she can watch the recording of what the Silver Surfer told him. After Sue watches it, Johnny mentions that he always knew her language was the same as the one from the transmissions. He says he'll use the translation the Silver Surfer gave him to try to decode the other messages. Sue says Reed can work on it, but Johnny mentions that he doesn't want to bother Reed until he's able to come up with something.

You want to translate that? Yeah. Days later, tensions rise among the civilians in the world who seem scared that their end is near. Some of them also believe that the Fantastic 4 are playing with their lives by not giving up Franklin to Galactis to save the world. Sue gets pissed and destroys the TV when she hears this on the news.

The Fantastic 4 also realize that there are people protesting in front of their headquarters. As they sit to talk about the situation, Johnny and Ben don't think it's something to worry about because the civilians can't hurt them. Reed says he understands why the civilians hate them and Franklin. He says they don't yet have a workable plan while the civilians have one that is mathematical, ethical, and available.

Sue looks shocked and asks what he's saying, but he says he's not implying anything. Sue doesn't believe this. And as she hears Franklin crying through the baby monitor, she angrily walks away. Reed follows her to meet Franklin. But I am not giving him up. And Sue says she's sure he has thought about giving up their son.

Reed says he wasn't trying to imply that when he was talking earlier, but Sue says she knows him and how he thinks. Reed then confesses that he has thought about it, but that it's his job to think of terrible things before they happen. Sue laments that when he thinks like that, he hurts her. Reed then assures her that he'll solve the problem and find something else to do.

Shortly after, Sue heads downstairs with Franklin to meet the angry protesters. She then tells them about her story and how her family had a car crash when she and Johnny were young. She says her mom didn't survive the crash and that she knows what it's like to be part of a family that was torn apart. She adds that her dad wasn't always a great father, but he did his best because he wanted them to remain a family after their mom died.

Sue says that's what family is about because it involves fighting for something bigger than yourself. Reed, Johnny, and Ben head down to support her. And she continues by saying that family is about having something bigger than themselves. She says that the Fantastic 4 already have that because of everyone in the world. [cheering] She also talks about how her mom used to say she'd move heaven and earth for her children.

This immediately gives Reed an idea and Sue tells the protesters that she won't sacrifice her child for the world. She also says she won't sacrifice the world for her child and she believes they all have to face the problem and fight together as a family. Everyone applauds her and as the Fantastic 4 head back inside, Reed tells the others that he knows what they have to do. He says they can use his teleportation bridges to move the Earth to a place where Galactis won't be able to find it for millions of years.

Sue says the bridge is just a prototype, and Johnny mentions that Reed was only able to move an egg from one place to another. Reed says he knows, but that they have to make it work because it's the only thing they've got. Following this, Reed announces his plan to the world, and Sue gets all the countries around the world to start donating materials to help with building the teleportation bridges around the planet. Work begins immediately, and Johnny continues trying to decode the transmissions.

As they get closer to the day of testing, Reed realizes that they'll need to consume a lot of power. How long would we need to conserve power? So, he tells everyone to make sacrifices on special days by turning off all their lights. Months later, Reed and the others prepare to test the bridges to move the Earth.

As the teleportation begins, the Silver Surfer suddenly shows up and starts destroying the bridges around the world. The Fantastic Four look shocked and realize that the Silver Surfer is coming for Franklin. As they place the building on lockdown, Reed, Ben, and Sue realize that Johnny isn't inside anymore. Before the Silver Surfer can destroy the last bridge in front of the Fantastic 4 headquarters, Johnny flies toward her and plays the recorded transmissions around the city.

The Silver Surfer immediately stops and Johnny speaks her language, saying he knows she understands the messages. The Silver Surfer cannot believe that Johnny now speaks her language, but he says he has been able to learn about her through the messages, which come from a planet called Zen La, which is her home. He says that the messages were from her people who have been trying to thank her for letting Galactis spare their planet as Johnny calls her Shalabal. She looks shocked and asks how he knows her name.

Johnny then talks about the things he already knows about her. He says she was an astronomer and that when Galactis came to her planet, she offered to serve as his scout so he'd spare her planet. Johnny says he's sure she did it to protect her family and that Galactis is the one who turned her into the Silver Surfer. He also plays the recording of the cries from other planets that were destroyed by Galactis.

Johnny blames her for helping Galactis kill people even when they begged for mercy. The Silver Surfer feels hurt by this and as she screams, she heads into the sky. Johnny follows her and says he wants to save his planet just like she did. The Silver Surfer tells him to give up the baby because she's sure Franklin would do it himself if he were old enough like she was.

Johnny tells her to take him instead so he'd make the sacrifice, but the Silver Surfer says it's not his to make. Johnny tells her to stop and help them, but the Silver Surfer says there's no help that can save them. She adds that they need to take the child away and leave the doomed planet and maybe they'll live long enough to forgive themselves. After she flies away, Johnny returns to the headquarters and gets praised by the others for what he did.

We're not leaving, are we? As they think of what to do next, Reed looks at Franklin and says they have to bring Galactis to their world. The others look shocked because it's what they have been trying to avoid. But Reed says they just need to lure Galactis away from his ship. He adds that they'll lure him to Time Square and use the last bridge to create a portal to send Galactis to a different place where he'd be stranded without his ship.

The plan still seems quite confusing. Ben asks how they'll lure Galactis to their world. Reed says he hasn't figured that part out yet, but as Sue looks at Franklin, she realizes that Reed has already thought of something. She says that Reed wants to use Franklin as bait, and Johnny and Ben don't seem happy about this.

Reed says it's the only way, and Sue realizes that he's right. As Reed tries to beg Sue to understand him, she says she does, but she just heads out with Franklin. Reed eventually meets them outside, and he assures Sue that everything will be fine. Yes, I know. I know. I know. The next day, they start planning how to lure Galactis to Time Square.

They soon realize that they have to move everyone out of the city, and Sue says she knows what to do. She then brings Harvey to the headquarters to negotiate the transfer of everyone in the city to Subterraneia. Harvey says he specifically wants Reed to ask him, but this gets Reed pissed because he doesn't really like Harvey. Sue eventually stops them from fighting and she handles the negotiation.

Following this, everyone moves to Subterraneia and the Fantastic 4 await Galactis's arrival. The next day, the superheroes place Franklin in the middle of the teleportation bridge in Time Square so that Galactis will walk right into the trap. After Galactis leaves his ship, he lands on Earth and walks toward Time Square. On the way, the Fantastic 4 distract him, and Johnny quickly carries Franklin back to the headquarters while Reed drops an empty baby carrier to trick Galactis.

Don't cry. I'll be back in a minute. Just as Galactis is about to walk into the trap, he stops and scans the city. He then realizes that Franklin is back at the Fantastic 4 headquarters. He finds this funny and says that the Fantastic 4 are clever bugs. As he heads toward the Fantastic 4 headquarters, the superheroes look scared and immediately try to stop him.

Unfortunately, Galactis is too powerful for them and they're unable to do anything to hurt him. Reed tries to destroy Galactis's suit, but the cosmic being grabs him and stretches his body. Before he can kill Reed, Johnny and Ben stop him. Reed gets released, but Galactis just heads toward the building and grabs Franklin.

He then says that Franklin is his salvation and deliverance from his vicious hunger. As he's about to leave with Franklin, Sue sees him and says she can't let him leave with her baby. She then uses her powers to slowly knock Galactis off his feet. Reed notices that Sue is straining herself and he begs her to stop our son.

However, Sue just tells him to save their baby. Reed then notices that Sue is pushing Galactis toward the bridge. Almost immediately, he runs toward it with Johnny and Ben also tries to help Sue. Just as Galactis gets to the bridge, Johnny opens the portal and Sue pushes the cosmic being into it.

Reed quickly saves Franklin, but Sue passes out. As Ben asks Reed what they'll do about the portal because it's still open, Galactis tries to come out of it. Johnny realizes that he has to do something and he tells the others to tell Franklin that his uncle loves him. Just then, he flies toward Galactis.

But before he reaches the portal, the Silver Surfer pushes him away. She then charges toward Galactis and decides to sacrifice herself to push him back into the portal. as she successfully heads inside with Galactis. The portal disappears and the superheroes look relieved. Reed then spots Sue on the ground and immediately tries to revive her.

Unfortunately, he's unable to do this. No, Sue. Sue. And as he accepts that she's dead, he and the others look sad. Suddenly, Franklin starts crying and trying to reach for his mom. Reed then places him on Sue's body. And as he stops crying, he looks at his mom. After a few seconds, Sue comes back to life.

And Reed and the others look shocked. Sue also hugs her baby. And as she realizes that Franklin saved her, she looks at Reed and says that their baby is not like them. He's actually more. Following this, the people in the city return to the surface and applaud their heroes for saving them yet again.

Days later, Ted organizes a live show to celebrate the Fantastic 4 and the newest member of the team, Franklin. While they're backstage, Lynn shows Reed and Sue the suit that Ted wants Franklin to wear. Reed and Sue believe it's too early, and Lynn says she'll tell Ted immediately. Just as Ted is about to call the superheroes on stage, they receive an alert on their bracelets and realize that there's an emergency to deal with.

They quickly leave the building and Reed, Johnny, and Ben try to fit Franklin's baby seat in their car. After struggling with it for a while, they eventually figure it out and leave the scene while everyone celebrates them. He would love it if Franklin would wear it for this in one minute. Years later, Franklin is now a little older, and Sue leaves him in the living room so she can pick up his favorite book, which she plans to read to him.

After she finds the book, she returns to the living room and sees Franklin touching the face of a strange villain who is holding a mask. After a cosmic being named Galactis marks Earth 828 for destruction, the Fantastic 4 try to negotiate with him to ask what he wants. Galactis asks for Reed and Sue's baby because he has special powers, but his parents refuse to give him up. Even though their Earth is still at risk of being destroyed by a giant cosmic being that seems unstoppable, the Fantastic 4 refuse to give up and they work together to defeat Galactis and leave him stranded in space.

However, with Franklin's powers, they now have to worry about other villains coming for
